NASCAR announced a few new rules for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for 2010.
The trucks will have double file restarts. It’s worked well since its inception in the NASCAR system and I look forward to it in the Truck Series.
Teams can have 6 men over the wall. (At present, it’s 5.)
They’ve also added the rule that teams can now change tires AND add fuel in the same pit stop.
These changes have been quoted as to have money saving effects. Not sure how that works, but I’m not the expert here, so I will take their word on it!
What confuses me is why NASCAR is making a new rule for 2010 about the pitstops. They seem to make it sound as if they’re adding something new when they’re just rescinding their latest modification to the pit stop rule. I wonder why they just can’t say we goofed, and let the system go back to the way it was now?
Well, regardless, those are some of the newest rules coming at us for 2010 in the NASCAR Truck Series.
