TV: What Happened To My NFL Channel Comcast? [Cinema Static]

by Bruce Simmons on November 14, 2009

There I was, enjoying the perfect lazy Saturday morning for once.  I was enjoying a Classic Football game on the NFL Channel on Comcast.  It was the January 8th 2000 game between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans.

We’re in the 3rd quarter and a pass play was just made by Tennessee when… BAM!

That was it.  At 8 a.m. sharp, the channel or network slammed over to a local show called SF Total Access.  It’s the San Francisco Forty-Niners Total Access television cable program.

My onscreen menu from Comcast says I have another hour of my classic game.

I’m bummed.  For once, I was totally getting into an old game.  Thanks Comcast.  Love ya, mean it!

I’ve been a WOW subscriber for 8 1/2 years and have been really happy with them. I left Comcast for WOW back then because of constant service issues. Recently there was a post in the WOW forum with a member leaving due to a great deal he got, so I decided to look into it. Well, it was a fantastic deal and I went for it. I have nothing to lose really. My services entail, Digital tv service with HBO and Starz, 3 DVRs, 1 SD box, 8Mbps internet tier, and phone service, all for roughly $116 a month for a year. – Kate
