I get Twilight being a big hit, but personally, I’m a bit confused on Transformers II.  The movie did awesome in the theater, but it got such crap reviews.  It’s a fascinating distinction between looking for quality and just having fun in a movie.  Especially a movie with Megan Fox in it!

To me, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was fun.  It was still a visually busy project.  The bots just hurt my head trying to make heads or tails out of them… but that’s just me.

Up also makes sense to me.  J.J. Abrams Star Trek was just plain fun!  It was a great twist on past and present pieces of the franchise being gelled together.  Oh, and that Easter Egg in Star Trek is at the 47 minute mark.  Sure enough, R2-D2 does go floating by the Enterprise view screen.  J.J. Abrams even notes that there’s an Easter Egg at this moment in the voice over, but he doesn’t say what.  He says you’ll just have to look for it.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was fun too, but I had more fun with Star Trek than I did Wolverine!

If you’ve been looking for these movies, here’s a convenient set of links for you.
