At the time of my writing this article, the U.S. would be leading the international collection of Olympians with a total of 8 medals.

Check out the 2010 Winter Olympics Medals tally right here:

Other than than the above coolness, I have to say I, like many others, were completely dissatisfied with NBC’s coverage of the Olympics when they chose to televise a video tape of the tragiv luge event.  I guess you can chalk that up the same mentality camp that did the Conan – Leno deal dance.  I don’t know.  My first take was that it was a sad and desperate snag for ratings.  And it backfired.  Shame on you NBC.  Shame on you.

I don’t support the Olympics and I certainly wish only the worst for NBC.

The dismal ratings are because overall main stream public doesn’t care about the Olympics anymore.

Hi hear ya 790, but the ratings are saying something all together different!

The opening ceremonies drew an average of just under 33 million viewers.

Then depending on the hour and day, numbers vary between 25 to 26 million each night so far.

Not as dismal as one might expect!

The opening ceremonies were absolutely great. I have two complaints:
First the girl that sang Oh Canada absolutelyruined the song. I never heard it
sang so terrible. Also the woman who spoke in french ( who I was very disappointed
didn’t need to speak
in french) as we are Canadians :( english speaking._ I could hardly stand her voice
any more/ English should have been spoken first and if necessary then you c ould
have spoken french. I was very disappointed in our Govenor General when she spoke
in french and then mumbled and stumbled over saying it in English.
Thank you. Verna
