• When in Rome
A comedy / drama / romance film starring Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Anelica Juston, Will Arnett, Jon Heder, Alexis Dziena and others.
It’s about an ambitious New Yorker who is unlucky in love until she snags some coins from a reputed fountain of love!

• Edge of Darkness
Is a drama / thriller starring Mel Gibson and this project looks like it’s right up his alley for roles that he’s good at.
He’s a cop investigating the death of his daughter and ends up uncovering government collusion in the process.
- – -
• Dread
Is about college students who are out to document what people dread most. This doesn’t seem like much of a movie unless you look at who’s short story it’s based on: Clive Barker! Who is teamed up with Anthony DiBlasi (Hell Raiser, The Midnight Meat Train) again
It stars Jackson Rathbone amongst others.
- – -
• Saint John of Las Vegas (limited)
Starring the ever insightful Steve Buscemi, with Sarah Silverman, John Cho and Emmanuelle Chriqui, this comedy is about an ex-gambler whose lured back into the grips of the game by a veteran insurance-fraud investigator!
- – -
• Kill Theory
Just another foreign thriller where college students are forced to play a sadistic game where they have kill each other to survive.
Kill Theory is directed by Chris Moore (American Pie 2).
(I can’t find a trailer that doesn’t have seriously foul language or graphic imagery!)

• Hidden
Is about a guy who inherits his mom’s home, painful memories and all.
- – - Some other independents opening this weekend
• Preacher’s Kid
- – -
• Falling Awake

(IMO),,,
“Edge of Darkness” just seems like a rehash of older Gibson films. Strictly a rental,,,
^
After redeeming the quality of Clive Barkers work in “Midnight Meat train” I’m totally willing to see “Dread”. But prob on dvd,,,
However, “Saint John of Las Vegas” def takes the cake for top film to see this weekend. Great casting is what I’m talking about,,, Bruce is this a limited release?

”Kill Theory” I guess you can call that a movie? Like you can call all the American Pie sequels past the 2nd film.
Don’t care about college kids anyway.
