NASCAR Cutting Purses But How's Sprint Doing?

by Bruce Simmons on February 4, 2010

It’s been reported that NASCAR is cutting race win purses by 10% in 2010.  This is across the board in all three series.

Of course, it’s not NASCAR that pays purses, but tracks that pay purses and sanction fees to hold NASCAR races.

But I’m plum wondering how the NASCAR sponsor Sprint is doing?

I haven’t followed up on an earlier report I laid out there where I noted that our sport’s main sponsor, SPRINT, lost 545k customers, almost $500 million in a quarter or was cutting 2,500 positions from their workforce.

That’s what I’m pondering!

That’s that gang.  NB&P says seeya later!
