Cinema Static on Brusimm logo

UPDATE 5-23-12/FYI: If you’re looking for the 2012 Fall TV schedule,  go here:  2012 – 2013 Fall TV Season Schedule.  –Bruce

I pulled together multiple lists of the 2011 – 2012 Fall TV Season.    It’s huge. (And updated Dec 27 with the 2012 series premiere, and season return dates)

First, we chat about what we’re anticipating for the upcoming TV season as far as the new shows are concerned.  I then slap you right into a few lists.  They’re effectively all the same, a list of the 2011-2012 Fall TV season, but each list is sorted differently.  One list is sorted alphabetically by TV show.  Another list is sorted by premiere date.  A third list is the same thing, just put out there in a less crowded fashion and sorted by network.

So take your pick of how you want to look at these lists and I hope this helps!!!  And if this really helps out, please feel free to share this with your friends, family, co-workers (yea, I know you’re surfin’ from work) & peers!  Thanks and have a great day!

(Obviously any schedule is subject to change, or delusional typing errors.  Let me know if have any questions.!  -Bruce)

Most Anticipated New TV Series for the 2011-2012 TV Season?

So what’s up with the new 2011 / 2012 TV Fall season?  What new shows is this website curious or interested about?

From what I’m seeing the general web-surfing public is super curious about the premieres of Terra Nova, Ringer, Prime Suspect, & Person of Interest.  (Updated 12/27:  Well, they mostly turned out OK!)

Old material from the September 1st posting article… :

ABC

Over on ABC, it’s a short list, but we’re curious about the new show Once Upon a Time, that’s airing on Sundays.  The promos look awesome.  Then again, packaging and content can always be such very different beasts!

We’re so not interested at all in Pan Am.  Not sure where this show came from but it’s not striking in chords in this TV viewer.

=

CBS

Of all the CBS TV series that will be kicking in gear this September, we’re curious about Unforgettable, hoping that is something a little more than a new platform for Poppy Montgomery.  She looks very different from her days on Without a TracePerson of Interest also has my attention as something to check out.

=

FOX

Despite all the hoopla from Fox, I’m not too moved by Terra Nova, but I’ll probably try and catch it out of curiosity, if nothing else.  It’s had so many production stalls and airing postponements that I’m leery about what’s really under the hood of this new TV series.

Terra Nova originally was going to air in late 2010, then a May 2011 premiere.  Now, last time I checked, it’s slated to premiere on September 26th.

Despite the fact that I’m not a comedy guy, (I seriously hate laugh tracks), New Girl with Zooey Deschanel (Syfy’s Tin Man; Our Idiot Brother, Your Highness), caught my attention with their promos.  The early promos for New Girl oddly felt like a movie trailer than a teaser clip.  It looked cute… we’ll see how it pans out and if I can survive the laugh tracks.

=

NBC

Over on NBC, I have no clue or interest in The Playboy Club.  But on the other hand, catching Maria Bello in Prime Suspect is on my list of TV shows to catch.

I’m also curious about the other fairy tale-based series, Grimm, but my “compelled” factor isn’t high.  If I don’t catch it live, I’ll catch it on VoD, if Comcast’s On Demand menu doesn’t drop the ball like it’s been doing lately.

=

The CW

I hate to be the bearer of not so great tidings, but so far, I haven’t seen great opinions on Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s Ringer that will be airing on The CW.  I hope they’re wrong though.  It would be great to see her back on the small screen.

Ringer is from Eric C. Charmelo, which this is his first venture into exec producing, though he’s written a few episodes of Supernatural.  The exact same thing can be said for the other co-creator, co-exec producer, Nicole Snyder.

I fear that The Secret Circle will be more of the same witchery that TV viewers have been digesting in The Vampire Diaries.  We’ll see how that pans out!

=

Of course, the only way I’d miss the premiere of The Walking Dead, (Despite the latest bits of news on the primary showrunner leaving), is if an actual zombie apocalypse happens.  And even then, if we stay quiet in the house and power stays on, we still might be able to get away with it.

And then there are the old favorites coming back for the 2011-2112 fall TV season, in alphabetical order:  Castle, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: Miami, Fringe, Hawaii Five-0, House, NCIS, Parenthood (yea, guilty pleasure kind of thing.), SoA, Supernatural, The Biggest Loser, & The Vampire Diaries.  And that’s just the TV shows of priority in this household!  My poor DVR is going to go down in smoke!

With that said, lets get on to those FALL TV SEASON Schedule & Premiere Date Lists!  Shall We?

I have three lists…

First up, Fall TV Season premieres of TV shows, sorted by TV series name.

Second, is the Fall Season Premiere list, sorted by date, (if that’s how you run.)

Third, is just a nice laid out list by Network & days that your favorite TV shows will air during the 2011-2012 Fall TV Season!

Enjoy!

This site truly has all the information and facts
I wanted concerning this subject and didn’t
know who to ask.

Wolfke79 January 9, 2012 at 2:46 pm

Yes it is, it doesn’t seize to amaze me. From my last post earlier, I’m now completely caught up until ep 11. I think it’s about two more to go for this season right?

Hell on Wheels, well I will definitely check it out. I’ll let you know what I think 🙂

Bruce Simmons January 9, 2012 at 11:43 am

Glad to have helped out there!!! Surprisingly wicked, isn’t it?

Now, if you’re tolerant of westerns, I’d say give HELL ON WHEELS a once over. (But it needs to be a 2 episode commitment if you start from the premiere!) The characters are very engaging and it’s more character-based than western themed… if that makes sense.

Wolfke79 January 9, 2012 at 9:19 am

After your comment, I decided to catch up with up with Revenge, and I gotta say, you’ve got me hooked on it now. I’ve seen about 6 eps and I’m really into it. It’s quite dark and you never really know what’s going to happen next. The cast is great. Emily Vancamp is perfect for the role and Madeleine Stowe plays her usual tough self, but with a scary twitch to it 🙂
Thanks for the tip, I don’t think I would have given this show a chance if you hadn’t mentioned it.

Bruce Simmons January 4, 2012 at 12:05 pm

I’ve oddly been sucked in by REVENGE… It’s like the modern day COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO… which is one of my favorite thematic novels! And TERRA NOVA is in that same boat as yours… even if you miss an ep or two, recaps are great catch ups…

Wolfke79 January 4, 2012 at 9:20 am

Thanks for the update Bruce!
From what I’ve seen so far, Ringer hasn’t really impressed me. It’s not a bad show, but I miss something in it, and can’t quite put my finger on it.
As for Terra Nova, I did have to give it some time to grow on me and it has. Not to a point where I would actually cry if I would miss an eppy, but it’s ok. Imo they should make it just a little bit darker and more suspenseful.
I am impressed with Unforgettable though, I’m really liking this show so far. It’s good to see Poppy Montgomery again and I think she’s doing a good job of letting us forget about Samantha Spade and making us believing in her new character Carrie Wells. The only thing that did bother me in the early episodes was her accent, it was really off and sounded much too Aussie. I was suprised to be honest, maybe she was trying to convince us of a Syracuse accent, though it’s not working. Other than that, I like the main cast and the storylines so far.

Dan Wilkins October 20, 2011 at 2:01 pm

WAS not impressed with Pan-Am. Terra-Nova looks like a Different version of Lost. Unforgettable is very good, so is Person of Interest, along with Body of Proof. Forget PlayBoy Club.

Lisa!
Glad you like the lists! & Thanks for the update! I’ve changed the date for GRIMM and I’ve added a list that sorts by day at the bottom of the article…
-Bruce

Lisa October 10, 2011 at 5:40 pm

btw: NBC’s Grimm premieres on October 28th. You have 21st listed. Thanks again.

Lisa October 10, 2011 at 5:28 pm

Hi. I yahoo’d onto this page after searching for 2011 tv series’ to make a day/time list of my favorites because I keep missing them. Boy, I’m glad I did! To be honest, I had forgotten all about most of the new shows I had promised myself I’d see. By the time the deluge of advertisements for new shows were over, I couldn’t remember the names or times of ANY of them! Go figure. Your lists make it so much easier to plan what to watch on the nights I’m not busy.

Any chance you’d create a new list sorted by day/time/name?
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this.

Bruce Simmons September 4, 2011 at 6:29 pm

Hey Dotti…
Yea, this isn’t a complete and comprehensive list. It’s all I can muster for some of the more popular or basic nets. What I did find out…

Wilfred started way back on Jun 23rd and not sure when it comes back;
What’s Your Number is a movie… that’s coming out in the movie theater 9-30-11;
Not sure what Jeremy is.

Thanks for coming by Dotti! Appreciate the site visit!

Dotti September 4, 2011 at 5:45 am

Saw trailers for new animated shows- “Jeremy;” “What’s Your Number” starring Anna Farris; and, “Wilfred” but, didn’t see them listed. Did I miss them on your list of New Fall Shows?
Thanks for your help.
