I just watched A Perfect Getaway (2009) on HBO, starring Steve Zahn, Milla Jovovich, Timothy Olyphant, Kiele Sanchez with a few brief appearances of a very buff cut Chris Hemsworth playing an angry hiker.
A Perfect Getaway is written and directed by the same guy that brought us The Chronicles of Riddick, Pitch Black & The Fugitive, David Twohy.
This movie didn’t get the marketing that it deserved and it flew under the radar of most movie-goers. From the marketing, it looks like your every-day slasher goes nuts in the tropics movie but it has a smart approach and fresh take on the premise that makes this movie turn into a real treasure to enjoy from this genre of movie.
Olyphant and Zahn deliver their roles wonderfully & it’s Twohy, having the fun he likes to have with his creative approach to things.
If you get HBO check out A Perfect Getaway… It’s definitely worth it.
