About James Gunn’s ‘Super’

I’ve been hovering over Super for quite some time now since about a year or so ago I saw that Nathan Fillion was in it. Now Super has a trailer for folks to digest and it’s a bit more explainable! (Yep, I scope out what Nathan Fillion gets himself into these days aside from Castle.)

About Super from James Gunn

IMDb summary:

“After his wife falls under the influence of a drug dealer, an everyday guy transforms himself into Crimson Bolt, a superhero with the best intentions, though he lacks for heroic skills.”

It stars Rainn Wilson (TV: The Office; Movies: Peep World, Hesher, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) as Frank, aka The Crimson Bolt, Ellen Page as Libby, or Bolt’s sidekick, Boltie; Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon, and since I mentioned Nathan Fillion, he plays ‘The Holy Avenger.’

From the trailer, it looks like this everyday Joe gets pushed to make a difference on crime… no matter how small it seems.

Watch the trailer, and have fun with it:

Now that they have a distributor, it’s just a matter of time!

I've been writing newsletters since 1999. I've worked for some great sites over the years and have had my work focused on by major networks and radio stations. Now I've been focusing on the entertainment consumer angle on mostly the sci-fi, fantasy and action genres of TV, movies and books. Mostly.

It’s a very fun trailer. Looks like Kick-Ass has helped launched a new genre, LOL. I’m absolutely looking forward to this.
