Michael Weatherly in NCIS on CBSWhen you watched last week’s episode of NCIS, titled “One Last Score,” did you notice anything different? I felt like the dialog was a bit quicker between characters and the banter seemed a bit more in-depth also. At least I thought it was. Then I found out that this episode was directed by Michael Weatherly (Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo).

This episode of NCIS was his directorial debut and I thought it was a great episode for Michael Weatherly to tackle and it had a lot of elements to it!

Then there was this new, inquisitive agent that showed up, NCIS Special Agent Erica Jane EJ Barrett (Sarah Jane Morris). Man, was she inquisitive or what? It was like a meerkat popping up out of its hole and adding her opinions!

If you’re wondering why we were so focused on Barrett, in case you missed it, she and DiNozzo might just be interested in each other and she will be a piece of the end of season story arc that’s coming up.

And yes, that women’s prison motto on the wall was something that Michael Weatherly had to have in the scenes… She who plants weeds cannot expect to pick flowers. I actually did find it to be an interesting quote and noticed how often it showed up. He also directed the ending car chase in a sort of homage to the Steve McQueen movie, Bullitt.
