Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan in Smallville
People have been pondering about Allison Mack. With season 9 of Smallville winding down, there has been talk, or more specific, curiosity about Allison Mack’s contract, which ends this year. The question being, will Allison Mack return to Smallville for a 10th season?
As Splash Page points out, Allison Mack is the only regular original cast member, aside from Tom Welling, who is still with the show. Executive producer Brian Peterson says that they’re optimistic for Mack’s return to the show.
If you’ve been hovering over an actresses career (My wife says I’m stalking.), Allison Mack did have a role on the internet series Riese, playing Marlise. That was for only 3 episodes, but she did step out a bit from under the auspices of Smallville. I have to wonder if that might have been a move to say that she’s marketable and thus, makes her contract negotiations stronger… for her?
When I first saw that she took a role on Riese, with Emilie Ullerup, I was sure she was setting up to leave the show. But 3 episodes, does not make a career. (Did you here that Riese could become a possible TV series?)
Other than that, she’s she’s only done a few things outside of Smallville. She’s done some voice work and has tried her hand at producing. (IMDb says Alice & Huck was a short she produced and exec produced. It explores the idea of desire, missed connections and the premise that it’s always possible to try again.)

But that was last year. Yet, there again, more fingers in different projects. So your guess is as good as mine, though I think it would be our loss to lose Allison Mack from Smallville. Watchtower is an integral part of Smallville and is an integral part of the DC Universe. Ya can’t lose Watchtower!
