The last time we saw Amanda Tapping in Stargate Universe, it was a rather quick and hollow performance of Colonel Samantha Carter.
It wasn’t her fault. Execs stuffed in a few familiar faces thinking they were bridging the gap between old fans and the new show.
Sadly, for me, it wasn’t bridged all that well.
I think they’ve got themselves a 2nd chance this time as Amanda Tapping will be making another appearance on Stargate Universe.
She says she showed up, helping start their season, and she’ll be helping out ending their season.
The sad part which dampens my enthusiasm for her next cameo is that she says “But I didn’t get to play with anyone.”
So whatever that means, it’s probably yet one more quickie scene and that’s it. Phfft.
Well, beggars can’t be choosers, but I sure would like to see Col. Carter have a teeny bit more depth this next time around.
Stargate Universe returns to the air waves April 2nd, 2010. Don’t forget, Stargate Universe has been renewed for a 2nd full 20-episode season!
