Alan Tudyk (Dollhouse, Firefly, Tucker & Dale vs Evil & the upcoming TV pilot The Rockford Files) just finished principal filming for the movie titled Conception.
The California Chronicle reports that Conception is about, well, just that, conception. The writer, Josh Stolberg (Good Luck Chuck, Sorority Row, Piranha 3-D), says the movie debunks the idea we have in our heads about how we think we got here as it takes a look at “a character-rich, romantic dramedy, featuring nine couples on the night they conceive their child.”
Aside from Alan Tudyk, or cast includes Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation), Connie Britton (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), David Arquette (Scream), Julie Bowen (Modern Family, Boston Legal), Gregory Smith (Everwood), Pamela Adlon (Californication), Matt Prokop (Furry Vengeance, High School Musical 3) and Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie’s).
The movie Conception is brought to us by Rock It Productions, LLC. Their premise is to create quality movies at a pricetag much less than the usual cost that most Hollywood studios incur.
Both the movie and the company sound interesting, and it is yet one more movie that you can catch Alan Tudyk in. (Psst: According to IMDb he has one more film that’s in Post-production: Beautiful Boy. Other cast members in this movie are Michael Sheen, Maria Bello, Moon Bloodgood, Kyle Gallner, & Meat Loaf.
Beautiful Boy is about two folks who are on the verge of a divorce, and learn their 18-year-old son just went on a shooting spree at his college, and then killed himself.
It sounds like a powerful motivation of a plot to me.
And that’s the Alan Tudyk news for now. When I see more about the TV series remake of The Rockford Files, I’ll be letting you know!
