'Ant-Man' from marvel

For the fervent fans of the Ant-Man franchise, the casting call is out and filming begins in January of 2013 at Pinewood Studios, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire SLO ONH, UK.

Arad Productions, with Big Talk Productions, are in the pre-production phase of Ant-Man, in what they’re calling the “Marvel Studios action adventure sci-fi thriller.

Rumors (Probably just repeats of fan drooling hope) is that Nathan Fillion has been “MENTIONED” for the lead role… not reported, not announced.  Just mentioned, so stay calm gang.  We’ll see if that pans out.  It would be awesome for fans of Fillion (foF), but we have to be calm about this one!  (I hate being set up for failure.)

As I’ve noted in the past, I’m not sure which character the producers will choose to follow, one or both characters who took up the mantle of Ant-Man:

Hank Pym - Ant-Man

Hank Pym – Ant-Man

“Ant-Man centers on Biophysicist Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym, who becomes a superhero after discovering a chemical substance that allows him to change his size. Armed with a helmet and suit that could control ants, Pym would shrink down to the size of an insect to become the mystery-solving Ant-Man. Scott Lang became Pym’s successor after stealing Ant-Man suit to save his daughter Cassie from a heart condition. At one point the film adaptation was said to involve both Pym and Lang, however this is to be seen after the film comes out in theaters.”

Edgar Wright is directing… that much we do know.

But for the casting!

Principal Actor Casting and Extras information can be noted at the following website, but keep in mind, extras won’t start getting cast until filming starts in January for Ant-Man.

(And carefully follow the directions.  It’s one sure-fure way to not get eliminated from casting choices!)
