A quickie review of Dark Horse’s new title, Barb Wire:

The tagline says, “Nail-hard tough and drop-dead gorgeous, Barb Wire is the baddest bounty hunter on the mean streets of Steel Harbor, where gangsters can lift bulldozers and leap rusting factories in a single bound. The hunting is stupid good and the bounties are hella big—if Barb lives long enough to collect!

She’s fast, good with any weapon, and not afraid of much… though she does seriously hate being called “babe!”

on top of collecting bounties, she runs a night club, and in the club, a tense truce where no brawling will… or should occur.

That is, until a third “party” shows up and starts his own fracas. So much for the bar.

Though this third party splits before the cops can arrest him, he called himself Wyvern Stormbl…  we didn’t catch the rest of his name because he fell drunkenly into a river while announcing who he was.

On top of all that, Barb is just like any of us, with bills to pay and various other issues… She even has to fend off the reality TV producers who want a piece of her butt-kicking action.
