Beautilful Boy is a rough and serious film about a family dealing with an unimaginable tragedy. It’s about ‘A married couple on the verge of separation are levelled by the news their 18-year-old son committed a mass shooting at his college, then took his own life.’
It stars Michael Sheen, Maria Bello, Moon Bloodgood, Alan Tudyk, Kyle Gallner, Austin Nichols, and Meat Loaf Aday. Alan Tudyk and Moon Bloodgood play the brother of Kate (Maria Bello), the mother of the 18-year-old.
The 2010 Toronto Film Festival has released some first-look pictures from the film and I thought I’d share some with you before sending you off to see the rest… The link has screening times for Beautiful Boy up in Toronto during the festival… when it plays on September 12th, 14th and 17th.
I look forward to the opportunity of seeing this film… I’m a fan of most of this cast. The movie has been called fearless and heartrending, to see how the parents deal with this sensitive subject matter.
