Bogus E-Mail Scams Pretending To Be the USPS [Consumer]

Beware of bogus e-mails from the United States Postal Service that talks about a package that is supposed to be delivered to you.

Those e-mails contain a link when you click on it, will install a malicious virus that can steal personal information from your PC. The e-mails claim to be from the U.S. Postal Service, however, they contain fraudulent information about an attempted or intercepted package delivery.

In the bogus email, recipients are instructed to click on a link to find out when they can expect delivery. But Postal Inspectors warn: Do not click on the link! See the Postal Service spam alert here.
