The Boondock Saints are coming back, but rather than to the movie screen, they’re coming to an Apple product screen near you! Unless of course, the Apple product is in your pocket as The Boondock Saints are coming to Apple mobile devices on October 28th, 2010. The devices being the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
The game is said to bring the same kind of action that the movie is known for, as the brothers MacManus do what they do best, and that’s unleash some justice as they did in the cult-classic movie. But now you, the player can unleash the deadly skills exhibited by the brothers in this top-down shooter game while you also experience the Apple exclusive Boondock Saints story created for the game.
You can play as either Connor or Murphy and while you’re one of the brothers, you will also see some other familiar faces from the franchise while dealing out your righteous revenge. (I love righteous revenge!) While on your mission, you’ll find a wide range of weapons at your disposal that include Molotov cocktails and stun grenades!
One of the cool features in the game is as you deliver your brand of justice, you achieve different tattoos to mark your different missions that you complete. While in the tattoo parlor you can also hook up to Facebook, Twitter and Open Feint to post & boast about your in-game achievements. You can also catch scenes from the movies on the iPad.
The Boondock Saints Mobile Game will become in the Apple App Store on Oct. 28th for a limited time price of $1.99 (through Nov. 1st in celebration of All Saints Day. Thereafter, price will be $2.99.)
The game App complements the newly released Boondock Saints Official Soundboard featuring the greatest one-liners from the films.
