'Breaking Bad' season 5 viral, Breaking Gifs

As all the addicts (to the show) are aware, the upcoming season of AMC’s Breaking Bad, its fifth, will be its last.  (sniff)

Vince Gilligan has given fans one of the best television series’ on TV and has yet to disappoint, so I suspect that this final season of Breaking Bad, with a wonderfully super-sized sixteen-episode season, will be a huge home-run.

Starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, the series returns in July, where it will run for eight episodes and then take a break, and then finish up the final eight episodes.

And now, I found out that there is a viral website kicking it into gear that’s based on the show.  The website is called Breaking Gifs and it is going to be a site that on a regular schedule, will pop up new clues on the chart that will point to art related to the show.  It’s being run by Tyson Givens and Gallery 1988. (I’m guessing kind of like these new “mondo” poster art things that have been popping up for other movie projects.)

It would seem that each week will be a new clue and the first one showed up last Wednesday.

Here’s the statement, from the footer of the webpage:

“Breaking Gifs” is a Breaking Bad Art Project. Which we should all just admit right now – is pretty awesome. One thing to keep in mind, you can participate from right in front of your computer screen. In other words, every hint/clue will also be posted right here, or on other website(s), so you don’t really have to go anywhere to be involved. If you do find yourself going somewhere that is talked about on our webpage, even though it is not mandatory, we ask that you to be courteous, extremely safe and know we would never ask you to do anything against the law or that could put you or anyone else in harm’s way. Please use common sense and caution, as everyone will have the same chance if they just keep their eye on the prize. Let’s do this.
