Hugo Weaving in The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring
MTV’s Splash Page is reporting that Marvel Studios confirmed that Hugo Weaving will be playing the Red Skull in The First Avenger: Captain America.
I think that’s a great call. Weaving’s characters have ranged from evil computer avatar’s in The Matrix franchise, as a good half-elven Lord in The Lord of the Rings franchise. If you didn’t know, he voiced Megatron in the Transformers franchise. Do you remember Hugo from V for Vendetta? Think! That was a fun film. Hugo Weaving seems to be a constant in fantastic action movies. You can also look for him in Oranges and Sunshine, coming out this year!
Enough about Weaving… apparently I’m a fan and didn’t know it!
Chris has been workin' out in anticipation of landing the Captain America role!
The Captain America movie will also be starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and rumors say Sebastian Black will be playing Bucky.
Other bits about The First Avenger: Captain America: There’s talk over at Reelz Channel that we might see The Winter Soldier in the movie. If that’s the case, then we may very well have an evil, mind-controlled Bucky running around!
In a great crossover, /Film is noting that we’ll be seeing Howard Stark in Captain America.
