After all the noise and name chasing over the last few weeks that bled into months, supposedly Chris Evans has been offered the role of Captain America by Marvel. To be exact, the Captain America movie is titled: The First Avenger: Captain America.
As of this moment, no one is confirming or denying anything. I’m thinking if they’re not denying it, then it’s more than likely to be the case. Yet Chris Evans? The spunky, attitude filled Chris Evans who played the Human Torch in Fantistic Four? Can he really pull of a serious hero of the American People? I’ve not seen him in anything else, but then again, I’ve not paid attention to his past.

But with Captain America slated to start filming in England, is in conflict with the shooting schedule of Evans’ other project, the Anna Faris romantic comedy What’s Your Number? (Yea, yea, it’s not in the list I have above here.)
This role, it is said, was one of the more scrutinized roles in recent memory. My take is that it only seemed scrutinized because everytime someone leaked out some form of info, everyone reported it… and reported it… and repo… well, you get the idea.
So for now, as of today, we have a potential candidate whose been offered the role of Captain America, and the multiple Marvel films that Steve Rogers (Captain America’s alter ego) will appear in down the road.
