Joss Whedon Looking For Extras

Joss Whedon Directing The Avengers MovieRight now Joss Whedon is looking for a few thousand good men and women. Two thousand to be exact, to be extras while filming The Avengers. The only caveat is that the filming where they need that many extras is in Cleveland, OH.

The filming will take place in the August & September time frame and it’s been estimated that the extras get somewhere between $50 to $100 per day and food!

The Avengers will have one heck of an ensemble cast with Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo & Jeremy Renner. We’ll also see Clark Gregg back as the venerable SHIELD Agent Coulson. Gotta love that guy.

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission has yet to let folks know how to apply but apparently will be doing so soon. Stay tuned, I’ll let you know as soon as I do about The Avengers extras casting!

Deadpool to be a Total Reboot? Indeed.

DeadpoolMy associates over at Killer Film reported a bit back that the Deadpool project that could be coming at us and that producer Lauren Shuler Donner said that this new project will be a total reboot. That means either ignore it or mock it. And if they mock it, it could head down a comedic path. Whaa? That latter statement might also back up what was said about the studio looking at comedy directors for the flick.

With it being a reboot, that means a new origin take, which would make many folks happy, considering how botched it was the first time around in X-men Origins: Wolverine.

But with Ryan Reynolds time being completely manipulated by Warner Bros., and WB looking at Green Lantern 2 already, I’m having a feeling that we probably won’t see Reynolds in the reboot, if it ever happens. Without Reynolds, who else could fill the void?

Reynolds says he’s interested, but then again, I’m interested in running ten different blogs… and that ain’t going to happen. So who could play Deadpool as effectively as Reynolds could? I don’t know. Bradley Cooper?

Robin Quivers Cranks Up A Website!

Howard Stern’s co-host finally cranked up a website of her own. Man, what took so long!? The site has floating quotes from Robin and links to her own blog and YouTube page. She’s also linked to Howard Stern’s show page and the 15foundation (charity).

The website’s menu is pretty much crammed down into the lower left corner. I’d say it’s perfect for a smartphone, tablet contraption so you can rotate it to read the text links! LOL.

Some timeless quotes that were on the site include:

  • “I may not belong here but I’m not going anywhere.”
  • “I can’t have other people’s opinions. I’m sorry. I can’t do that for you.”

Go check it out:

Comedic Quotes from a Movie:

The following are a couple of quotes from the 1965 movie, The Great Race, starring Tony Curtis:

[on the iceberg]
Max: We gotta do something.
Professor Fate: Oh, don’t worry. Before this iceberg melts and we drown like rats, we’re going to do plenty.
Max: Yeah? What?
Professor Fate: We’re gonna starve!

[on the iceberg]
Fate: You’re wasting your time!
Leslie: Perhaps.
Fate: We’re melting!
Leslie: Slowly.
Max: We’re gonna sink!
Leslie: Eventually.
Fate: Then you’re wasting your time!
