Cinema Static Ponders on Fox’s 24 Future – Why Not A Comic?

With this being the last season for Fox’s 24 with Keifer Sutherland, word is there is at least a probably movie on the way.  For fans, that’s great news, if it germinates to fruition!

The Serenity, in Comic Book form from Joss Whedon

Many shows get s*canned by networks but the core fans aren’t ready to say goodbye or let go.  Which is why some franchises like Joss Whedon’s Firefly does so well.  It retains the feel and with a fan’s imagination, the action can take a more daring course of events.  The special effects cost less, and the actors, if the image rights are obtained, won’t get hurt and can live on at the same age a lot longer!  (I mean come on, how long can Batman be in his 30′s?)

24 comic - Could Jack Bauer be a cartoon?

You know, I’d totally go for a comic version of 24.  The sky is the limit.

Then depending on what comic company takes over Jack Bauer, we could start having some awesome cross-overs!  I can see it now:  Jack Bauer & Buffy.  Jack throws down with Predator.  Dude, I think Jack Bauer and Batman would just scare the living s**t out of any bad guy!  LOL.

Yep, I think comics could be an awesome avenue for 24 to go.  What do you guys think?  I’d love to start a conversation on this and see what anyone else thinks!
