Conan O'Brien Lashes Out at NBC on his NBC Show

NBC Network

Now that’s classic… when you’re in the middle of serious legal issues and you’re getting the pooch … well, you know what I mean, what better place to do it than on the platform that NBC gave you, to tear into NBC?  AWESOME…  you go boy!!!

He did his own version of ripping into NBC with his opening monologue.

Check it out:

“Hello, my name is Conan O’Brien, and I may soon be available for children’s parties. Welcome to NBC. Where our new slogan is, ‘No longer just screwing up prime-time.’

When I was a little boy, I remember watching The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and thinking ‘Someday, I’m going to host that show for 7 months.’

NBC says they’re planning to have the late night situation worked out before the Winter Olympics start.  And trust me, when NBC says something – you can take that to the bank!”

Now I wait.  Wait to see what NBC will do.  Silencing Conan can be the biggest mistake of their existence as they continue to destroy the time-proven talk show of The Tonight Show.

Why, oh why are they acting like such a panderer to Jay Leno?  Why didn’t they just let him retire when he wanted to?  What is up with that?

Didn’t Comcast buy NBC the “other day?“  Huh.  Nahh, it couldn’t be!

Thanks to Deadline Hollywood for the 4th update on this debacle.

And it’s only Tuesday.  Sweet.  Something to keep the week going!

I love Conan! So sad to see him go – he’s a true class act and the best host that the Tonight Show ever had. He will be missed. Don’t ever change, Conan! We love you!
