On August 25th, a voluntary product recall went out for “Milestone AV Technologies Television Wall Mounts.”  The recall involves approximately 131,000 flat screen television wall mounts.

The recall has been precipitated bu the elbow joint of the wall mount arm not fitting together properly and when the consumer goes to adjust the item, the TV could tilt or fall off the wall.

The product is manufactured by Milestone AV Technologies LLC, of Savage, Minn. and though no injuries have been reported yet, there is cause for alarm.

“This recall involves the Sanus Vision Mount model LF228-B1 wall mounts and Simplicity model SLF2. The wall mounts were sold for flat screen televisions. The model numbers can be found on the UL sticker on the wall plate.”

If a consumer deems that the elbow joint is not properly fitting, they can contact Milestone for a free replacement.
