Danica Patrick announced that she will not be driving the No. 7 Chevy at the NASCAR Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway for July 31st.
This makes weekend number 1 that she’s bowed out of a NASCAR event. I hope this is the last time because that would say something about her dedication to her NASCAR effort if she did.
Right now, she is slated to appear in the next 3 weekends for the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

I understand the hoopla, from a curiosity stand-point, but other than that, I just don’t get it. Sure, she has a chance to really make some serious auto racing history, and sure, she’s a front-runner in IndyCar, but she’s not a top performer.
