MTV interviewed David Tennant about his time as Doctor Who, momentos he might have taken away from his run as the good Doctor and news on any possible cameo’s he may make.

Momentos:

Basically, Tennant said he was given a sonic screwdriver that the prop department made for him.

He also has The Doctor’s suit hanging in his closet.

As far as cameo’s go, don’t hold your breath.  I’m not surprised by this but he said that there’s nothing in the immediate future and that he should put some time between now and any future appearance.

Besides, Cinema Static reported back in early November that David Tennant will star in an NBC pilot titled Rex is NOt Your Lawyer.  So he is a bit occupied at the moment.

We’ve all been rather disappointed by David Tennant’s departure from Doctor Who.  My only guess is that he didn’t want to be funneled into this image and trapped in a career based on the good Doctor, regardless of how popular the franchise might be.

I get it…if I’m right.  It’s looking out for one’s career and future potential for other, serious or comedic roles.

But that doesn’t mean we still can’t be upset about his leaving.

Check out the interview from MTV.
