Did You Catch That Crazy TV SucroCorp Ad During ‘Supernatural?’ (SPOILERS)

Jared Padalecki and Felicia Day in 'Supernatural'

Tonight’s episode of Supernatural, titled “The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo” guest starred Felicia Day as an IT techie genius helping Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki).

For the DVR junkies, the rest are spoilers, but they are a bit tasty:

And we’re getting nice doses of Bobby’s return, even if they boys are channeling their ghost whisperer skills through Bobby’s drinking tin.

But there was one confusing moment…  when a TV ad kicked in for a product called SucroCorp.

If you’ve been paying attention during tonight’s episode, Bobby was filling in the “idjits” about Dick’s plans to cure people of diseases and then fatten them up for farming for the big mouths to feed, on us humans.

The ad seemed weird, and if you paid attention, you might notice in some of the footage in the SucroCorp ad looked like Clark Kent’s farm from Smallville!  (Probably not, but it reminded me of it.)  And we also learned that SucroCorp is interested in our well-being and that we should eat well and live well!

It was a fun little bit that the showrunners of Supernatural pulled on the viewers because in the season finale episode of the show, titled “Survival of the Fittest,” Dean and Sam will be storming SucroCorp, going after Dick.

Mitch, the Sucrocorp ad was a spoof and part of the episode, since the evil devil creature was using the company as a cover to distribute evil drinks to the people of the country.

When I saw the Sucrocorp add I thought………. bullshit. I grew up in Iowa and have worked for or know the major players. I used to do grain inspection for them so, what’s the point of the add???
