BBC America released a statement today stating that the airing of Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars on December 19th gave the network its highest ever ratings for the demographic age of 25-54.

Doctor Who with David Tennant brought in 1.1 million viewers and in my mind, let them know that we here in the U.S. want our Doctor Who!

The Waters of Mars was the first of the final 3 “episodes” of David Tennant’s era as Doctor Who.

Why he moved on, I haven’t a clue but I’m kind of mad at him for doing so…. leaving us with the new upstart, Matt Smith under the leadership of Steven Moffat, the new lead writer and exec producer.

The final two Doctor Who specials, Doctor Who: End of Time (It’s in two parts) will be airing on BBC America on December 26th and January 2nd.

After these last two Doctor Who specials, the most popular Doctor, the tenth Doctor, will regenerate into the eleventh Doctor Who, played by Matt Smith.
