I’ve previously mentioned the upcoming fan-made Dr Horrible prequel. In that same article, I touched on the sequel to Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog that Joss Whedon is writing and that Nathan Fillion will be in it.
Well, no disrespect to the fans who put together their little take on a prequel, but folks, if the real deal slaps together a prequel, I’m thinking that outranks any other kind of project, don’t you think?
And so it is, that Zack Whedon has put out a Dr. Horrible comic, with art by Joelle Jones, under the Dark Horse Comics banner.
The uber cool part about the comic that Zack put out is that it touches on how our favorite misaligned evil bad guy, Dr. Horrible, became the way he is today! Yes, the true prequel of sorts, from one of the minds that helped put the original together.
It’s a one-shot comic that is scheduled to hit newsstands on November 18th. It looks at Billy’s childhood and how he came to wear the labcoat! It also has Captain Hammer, the Evil League of Evil and Penny shows up too.
The even better part is that there is a 7-page preview of the comic on the MTV website. Check it out gang!
