First, the Dr Horrible Prequel News:
Yes, a prequel to Doctor Horrible, but before I tease you beyond all hope, it’s not from Joss Whedon.
In this case, it’s a fan made prequel to Dr. Horrible called Horrible Turn.
There’s a tiny disclaimer at the bottom of the video saying that any similarities to characters created by Joss Whedon are like totally a coincidence. Then through a various series of sentences that evolve to eventually say it’s an unauthorized likeness… I think. Their legal department has me confused!
The release date for this prequel is 11-10-09. (Kinda like a count down!)
The implied humor is Whedon-like, but will it be enough like Whedon to be a hit? We’ll find out, won’t we?

The Doctor Horrible Sequel (That IS from Joss Whedon) News:
I may be one of the biggest surprise mega-fan over of Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. I don’t gravitate to musicals… it’s a genetic predisposition that isn’t my fault. Yet Joss Whedon continually sneaks up on me with those damn musicals.
Back in early August of this year, 2009, the news was that Joss was working on a story for a Dr Horrible sequel. I mean, how could he dare not?!
Now of late, Nathan Fillion was chatting with MTV and semi-spilled some beans… or at least some bean sauce.
He said that they have a title, they have several songs written but have yet to decide what media that the sequel will come out on.
The cool aspect about this chat that MTV had with Fillion, was that they called him the project’s star. I hope they meant that sequel project!
With the people who were in the first rendition of Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, scheduling is a concern but being as how these folks are uber-cool stars, I’m betting they’ll make the time.
