Fixing A Frozen Sansa Clip [Consumer Bits]

If your Sansa Clip Frozen? My wife and I both have SanDisk 2GB Sansa Clips and we love them.  Now since I’ve picked up a Motorola Droid X on the Verizon network, and being synced up with my Amazon account, well, it’s hard to beat that.  If you can afford it that is.  Having a smart phone isn’t cheap.  But the Sansa Clip is and awesome 2GB MP3 music player.

But every now and then something causes the MP3 to freeze.

The first time, back in 2009, my wife’s clip screen went blank when she switched from radio mode to MP3 music mode.

Today I had my poor wife’s Sansa Clip plugged into my laptop when I had to do a reboot.  Doing this froze the Clip at the “Connected” window.  That’s the screen that shows up when it’s charging.

To fix your locked Sansa Clip, you can “reset” it.  Resetting your MP3 player involves holding the power button ‘up’ for around 15 seconds, then releasing.

Wallah, at least for us, it was fixed.

Check out the Sansa Clips on Amazon.

From the title, I thought this would be related to A Game of Thrones. I was very wrong.
