Fleet Feet Sports in Menlo Park is an awesome resource for anyone interested in running or walking shoes, plus all the goodies one might need for such!
Since last Thursday, Fleet Feet in Menlo Park (Formerly known as Runner’s High) has had around 40 or 50 pairs of excess inventory sitting outside the storefront. I love their excess inventory moments because I don’t know at any other time when you can snag $125 shoes for $40. Yep, everything outside the store in the boxes was $40, regardless of what the sticker says on the box.
I can’t say if they’re there today (Monday 9/13) or not, but mayhaps you give them a call to find out and if so, swing by and check it out. Like I noted, they don’t have a ton of stuff out front, but you never know if you’ll find your size shoe waiting for you!
Keep in mind, it’s excess inventory and they don’t have everything for everyone, but so far, every time they’ve had one of these sales, I’ve always been able to find something. Me, I snagged some Saucony’s in my size and I’m pretty happy. After snagging some of my custom inserts, then BAM!, new shoes that feel like I’m floating down the sidewalk once again.
Though I buy my running shoes from Fleet Feet, I look at some of my $40 finds as totally awesome walking shoes. And the store will support returns if you find something wrong with your new shoes, so don’t fret about that issue.
About Fleet Feet:
I first hit up Fleet Feet when they were literally half the size they are now and were called The Runner’s High. I’ve watched them expand and have come to understand that they hire the smartest and nicest people in the industry for shoe sales. They know their stuff and they’ve not only never steered me wrong, but Jim help me find some perfect answers to a personal scenario that has really helped me.
If you are in a quandary about a running shoe store decision, give them a try. They are, in my book, awesome. Heck, come on by Thursdays and say hi. I’ve joined their Thursday’s Fun Run club that strikes out at 6:30 p.m. for a fun 4 mile run every week!
