It was a 1 year ago today that Brusimm.com officially lit up on the internet with an active drive to become a destination for like-minded web surfers like myself.

It is with mixed emotions that I look back at the sequence of events that led up to my decision to crank up the steam engine of this little ‘ol site but it’s all good when all is said and done.  This is the date my website “woke up.”

Any how, I like chatting about various things that interest me, hence the eclectic subject matters from Brusimm.

Over the last year I’ve come to appreciate a lot of factors that go into creating and keeping a website going, and in the process, use SEO strategies and tactics to help grow the readership.

1-year anniversary cakeThis is the one-year anniversary of when the wick was turned up, though technically the site has been around since 2002. It was just a dormant domain until 2010.

Last week the site passed the 1 million visitor mark.  I went from 15 or 20 visitors a day a year ago, to, well, a lot of visitors a day.  I want to say thank you to everyone who has ever come by and to the 20% of those visitors that continue to return to see what I have to say and want to talk about.

Here’s to more years to come! It’s not easy to blog constantly for a year, so that’s an awesome achievement. Happy birthday!
