There ya go… the first images of what Hawkman will look like in a set of upcoming Smallville episodes.  I wonder if it’s on purpose that we don’t get the best look we could get at Hawkman, or what?  If I didn’t know any better I’d say it was a photo shopped pic, but they’re saying this is the real deal.

Any way, TV Guide got some one on one time with Michael Shanks, (Stargate SG-1, The Eastmans[2009], Arctic Blast[2010], Stargate: Revolution[2010]) who will be playing Carter Hall aka Hawkman, and the pair of episodes that were originally going to air over 2 different weeks, is now being pulled together into what The CW Network is calling a “movie” event.

In this movie, We will be meeting an older group of heroes called the Justice Society.  This will be Hawkman, Dr. Fate and Stargirl.

We’ll learn a little bit about this Carter Hall / Hawkman, who is a reincarnated prince and why he carries around such cynicism and guilt.

We’ll find out why our small group of heroes from Smallville never knew about the Justice Society up until now.

Green Arrow and Hawkman won’t be seeing eye to eye on some things.

And there will be some other issues addressed within the Justice League itself.

It sounds like great stuff.

There are more details at TV Guide, but I didn’t want to give away spoilers (They’re not really spoilers, but some might consider them plot spoilers) for you.

So head on over and read more about the Smallville TV-movie that was penned by the illustrious Geoff Johns.

The TV-movie hits the air on February 5th, 2010.  -  Oh, one last thing.  Tom Welling (Clark Kent) will be directing the 2nd hour of the show.
