HBO has announced that Entourage will be ending in 2011 with a shorter episode season run, bringing the stories of Ari (Jeremy Piven), Vincent (Adrian Greneir) & Eric (Kevin Connolly) and the rest of the frenetic entertainment crowd to a close.

At this moment, they’re finishing up the present season, have the last shortened season that will probably be around 6 episodes and then they’re chatting about a possible franchise ending movie.

The trick to a movie though, is to create a script that makes sense, to both new viewers of the movie and satisfy the fans of the series.

I’ve enjoyed the show and loved the stream of guest stars the series has brought through. It’s an awesome series from executive producer Mark Wahlberg. (There have been 25+ co-executive producers but I wanted to point out yet one more of Wahlberg’s accomplishments.)

Entourage was created by Doug Ellin and 2011 with be it’s 8th and last season. It’s about Vincent Chase, a young, hot, up-and-coming actor living in Hollywood. At least that’s how it all started, and has paraded guest stars like James Cameron, Bob Saget, exec producer Mark Wahlberg, Pauly Shore, Seth Green, Gary Busey, Melinda Clarke, Jeffrey Tambot, Big Boy, Aaron Sorkin, Maria Menounos, Sasha Grey as themselves through the show. It’s been a fun show and you never know who is going to come across your screen when watching it.
