I’m messin’ with you with that title, but all joking aside, Sci Fi Wire is reporting that the next Terminator franchise movie could be a bit closer to reality because the current rights owner to the Terminator rights hired a Hollywood talent agency to help sell the Terminator rights.
Pacificor LLC (a hedge fund company) bought the Terminator rights for just under $30 million at an auction earlier in ’10 after the previous rights owner went bankrupt. Ebay, here we come!
Though the last Terminator movie died by the hands of the critics and fans, I didn’t mind it. It was fun to see something new from the franchise, and I’m a fan of McG’s work. At times, beggars can’t be choosers. Seriously though, is there that much more material that can really be brought to the silver screen? I’m sure there is, if you look at all the different angles there are to the story, but what would capture our imaginations? What would be a satisfying story to see?
