On January 12, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck near Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince, causing massive death and destruction. An estimated 3 million people are struggling with the aftermath of the earthquake.
Haiti has been devastated and they need our help. Hence the George Clooney helmed Hope for Haiti Telethon. He’s already got a head start on everyone and pledged $1 million to the cause. We need to step up and do better… no no, not individually… but as a whole!
The above scene is where it will all happen. Cinema Static’s insider got me this exclusive picture of the set where we can all make a difference with a single phone call tonight.
Hope for Haiti is produced by MTV and headlined by George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York and Anderson Cooper in Haiti. We’ll be entertained by Jay-Z and Rihanna taking the stage in London with U2′s Bono and The Edge, as well as Madonna, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys. All the performances will be available on iTunes following the telethon.
All proceeds will be split evenly among the relief organizations currently operating in Haiti:

The event will be taking place on SIRIUS SATELLITE channel 12 and XM channel 26. On your television, the event will be broadcast on the following networks:
