The newest Godzilla movie (from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. with Gareth Edwards directing), is something I’ve been keeping an eye on ever since we all first heard about. But of late, news has been very dry out there. Until today that is!
First up, Latino Review got themselves a Godzilla scoop with the news about Warner Bros’ Hall H panel on Saturday… check it out:
“You know what big Hall H surprise Legendary is bringing along with Pacific Rim?
…GODZILLA!
Not only is Legendary bringing the Lizard to comic con but get this, I hear the presentation is SICK! I’m not going to get into specific spoiler territory because then what’s the point of attending the panel, but take this one to the bank.
Godzilla will stomp both the audio and video systems within Hall H two weeks from this Saturday! I’ll be there to witness it myself. I can already envision them shutting down the lights, hearing Godzilla’s roar, and the crowd going wild!
Anyway, Max Borenstein is currently re-writing the script from David Goyer. Gareth Edwards is directing.”

It will be nice to see something new about the movie, but if they have someone rewriting the script, I have to wonder what kind of footage, if any, that they’re bringing.
That, and I don’t think we’ve heard anything about cast yet either.
Godzilla FYI Tidbit: Did you know that the Godzilla roar , if you’d like a bit of trivia, was actually created by rubbing a leather glove covered in resin across the loosened strings of a standup bass and then slowed down.
FYI: I’m putting all my Comic-Con press releases over under my Cinema Static site . Here are some cool bonus pics:

The supposed Godzilla model bust for the Legendary remake. When it started making the rounds, word came down the pipe that this model had nothing to do with the movie. I thought I’d toss this out there just in case…
