Did you know that the movie from Christopher Nolan, Inception, has a series of puzzles as part of its viral marketing? Nope, at first I didn’t catch onto it either. Duh!
Way back in February when Warner Bros. sent me some stuff (aka swag), there were a bunch of T-shirts and other things in the bag. As a loyal fan I wore the T-shirts and put away the trinkets, thinking, how cute.
Part of my package was an Inception T-shirt and for its size, a very heavy spinning top!
Turns out the barcode on the back of my shirt was a clue, of which I was clueless to until I caught some notes on the internet pointing that out. Others have been pulling it together for us so we can see what has been developing.
News in Film has a pretty good description of the Inception puzzle here if you have the time to start delving into it. As they’ve reported, “This one sheet is again from the online viral puzzle at mind-crime.com discovered by the guys at NolanFans.” Otherwise, here are a few posters or promo art for Inception from Christopher Nolan, and other goodies.

Inception , starring folks like Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger & Michael Caine comes out July 16th, 2010.
(Have you noticed the movie tag line, “Your mind is the scene of the crime.” Know anyone who would be crime-free in this world of Inception!)

How many trinkets did you receive? :O I would be interested in procuring a spinning top from you if you have a few
Doh! Joshua, your timing is off by a few days. I had a few but I gave them out. I can keep my eye out for ya and see if I can find another one!
I would very much appreciate it if you could look out for one for me! Thanks, Bruce!
I’ll keep this page bookmarked and keep checking back
Joshua, check your in-box. -Bruce
Hey Bruce. I wasn’t able to get one of the official ones, but I was able to find a friend with a lathe that could make one for me to my specifications of what was in the movie. It looks like this:

Very happy with it, it cost me $25 =]
