ABC’s ‘V‘ may be in trouble, despite still being slated for a November 3rd premiere.
The rumors are flying – let’s take a look at them:
ABC is splitting up the season.
Wha??? They say they’re going to run the first 4 episodes of the fantasy science fiction TV series in November, leaving the 4th episode as a sort of cliffhanger and then come back and finish the season with a mid-season return.
But this just adds to the other rumors about the production shut down that took place in late August. They range from the series is dead to what has been filmed will be aired as a mini-series.
But ABC and Warner Bros. TV defends their corporate stance by saying that episode 4 is getting ready to be filmed (mid-October) and then they will go on a holiday hiatus.
It sounds like they just confirmed nothing. Yea, we’re filming. Then we’re taking a super long holiday break!
It’s odd timing. Right after a WGA mediation that ruled that this show is indeed a remake, which means that the original show’s creator, Kenneth Johnson, gets credit… amongst other things.
After all the work that ABC has done to advertise V, I’m surprised at this turn of news / rumors / events.
