J. Michael Straczynski On Superman & Wonder Woman Comics

It’s been announced today that starting in July, J. Michael Straczynski will be back on board the DC Comics titles of Superman and Wonder Woman.

The issues will be Superman #701 and Wonder Woman #601, and I suspect JMS will be taking them in totally new directions.

JMS will be looking more closely at how Wonder Woman appears and how she functions in the DC Universe.   With Superman, he’s digging back into his roots and taking the perspective of how Superman sees us, humans.  He said this will have national ramifications, but wouldn’t or couldn’t go into more details.

Cool news for comic book fans everywhere.  Now if we can just get that Forbidden Planet project remake in to the theaters, I’d be a happy camper.
