Avatar 2 from James Cameron

Though 20th Century Fox hasn’t made any official statements that Avatar 2 is being filmed, that doesn’t mean that James Cameron hasn’t started some of the work already.

At this moment, James Cameron is plotting how to become only the third man to arrive at the deepest point in the ocean.  A quiet, scenic spot in the western Pacific known as the Mariana Trench.

He’s already commissioned a submarine for his quest into the abyss where I hope he won’t have any strange days and meet any underwater aliens.

According to reports, as he’s already commissioned the submarine, he will be taking his 3D filming rigs with him on the dive and shooting footage on the way down.  The conjecture is that he’s hoping to snag some footage for his upcoming Avatar sequel.

Well, if anything, the man definitely puts his foot where his mouth is and does some serious location shooting!  And as far as when the filming really starts, he can take his time.  It seems that some of Cameron’s biggest blockbusters have come after some lengthy furloughs, so James, please, take your time.
