Jason Momoa Being Considered for Conan Movie Remake [Updated]

Tis the season, or era of remaking everything that’s been made.  But it almost makes sense to put the latest favorite stars into the old roles and spice them up, right?

In this case, the remake is Robert E. Howard’s Conan, The Barbarian.

Up until yesterday, the production companies were only pondering 2 possibilities for the role of Conan:  Kellan Lutz (Twilight) and Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis)!

Now they’re looking at one more actor who apparently is a better established actor, but they haven’t said who yet.

Crap!  As far as this site is concerned and for any fan of Stargate Atlantis and / or Jason Momoa, we know what we’d like to see.

More to follow as this develops.

UPDATE 1-16-10; 16:54 PST: According to JustJared, they report that their sources tell them that the third actor being considered for the role of Conan is Jared Padalecki from Supernatural???  I see, well, I can hear his voice being good for the role, but I just don’t get the imagery yet.  I’d still vote for Ronon, I mean Jason Momoa.  Very little prep, already a bad-a** and easy to sell in the role.  Come on people!  Hear the Jason fans!!!  Please?
