In an on-the-set piece from EW, Jason Momoa tossed out a few bits on his part of the HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s book series, Game of Thrones.
In the interview article we read about the meticulous nature the production staff is applying to various aspects of the HBO series shoot of Game of Thrones. But more importantly, to Jason Momoa fans, they also had a few words with him and I think a specific demographic of my readership will like this.

First off, they’ve created a new language for the Dothraki chief, Khal Drogo. (Momoa) Of course, they say it is better than Klingon. LOL.
As far as getting an eyeful of the ex-model, ex-wraith runner from Stargate Atlantis, Momoa states that his Genghis Khan-like character tends to lie naked in furs and Momoa feels like he spends more screen time being naked than he does talking. (See, I told you you’d like the news!)

The Game of Thrones was first looked at by showrunners as a possible movie but with any book or book series that’s made into a movie, heavy editing is involved to make a story digestible as a movie. Because they didn’t want to cut out 90% of the story because they really like the characters and story lines, hence why they went in the direction of a mini-series.
They also wanted non-fans to understand that though there are things related to magic in the series, it’s on the fringe of the plots you will be seeing and it’s not, from what I can tell, a heavy part of the story itself.
They’ve also wanted to remind us that George R.R. Martin had a strong hand in various aspects of the series, one of which is casting, as he gave them his feedback as to who he liked for what part.
Martin also wrote episode 8 of the series.
On Mark Addy being cast as King Robert… don’t worry. This is not a funny role for him, so King Robert is not being turned into a humor source.
Game of Thrones will star Sean Bean, Lena Hedley, Peter Dinklage, Natalia Tena & others.
