Joss Whedon has brought us some pretty cool stuff that covers space cowboys in Firefly, to an entire fantasy television series covering the demonic side of things with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and such. He’s even messed with people’s minds in Dollhouse.
Eric Kripke on the other hand, from my exposure to his work, has dealt out some awesome work along the same demonic lines of thought with his co-producing the 2005 movie Boogeyman and his executive produced television hit series Supernatural.
I mean sure, the Winchester brothers from Supernatural are “hunters” or slayers of a sort. It would be fun to see them meet Buffy for an episode and just have a real party down with a town full of vamps or demons.
But that’s old.
I have got to wonder if in a fan-driven fantasy pairing that Cinema Static on SoB is pondering, just what these two guys could do together if they even put their minds on the same project.
I wouldn’t restrict them to what they’ve become famous for but I would lock them in a room with sufficient food, water, condiments and toys to play with to replicate mass destruction and let them have at for a week with some networked laptops to see what they came up with.
This is just my twisted Cinema Static mind thinking out-loud. No news or reports have come out announcing this. This is a fantasy show writer / creator pairing.
Anyone else have a wish list like this?
