Literally, Juan Pablo Montoya is on track. In an interview a few weeks ago, he was asked about his detractors… I can’t say I wasn’t one of them… maybe I will just say I was a neutral party observing the process.
But I liked what he said in this interview, that is, aside from noting he likes making his detractors look wrong.
Montoya indicated that when he came to NASCAR, they had a 3-year plan to get him where he needs to be. Those first 2 years, learning years.
Sure enough, here he is in The Chase, on year 3. That’s an impressive amount of patience and foresight.
