BUDWEISER NASCAR sponsorship

Yes, what I said is what it is: Budweiser will be sponsoring Kevin Harvick at RCR starting in 2011. How sweet is that?

With Kasey Kahne headed to Red Bull Racing in 2011 and then Hendrick Motorsports in 2012, Budweiser had an open slate to pick from for who might want their colors / brand on their car. They apparently weren’t going to stay with Kasey’s old house, Richard Petty Motorsports. (RPM. PS: Has it ever bothered you that RPM is just that in name since the advertising agency took them over a few years back?)

We already found out that Hendrick can’t or wont have Budweiser under that “Inn’s” roof. Proof positive was when they didn’t follow one of the best match-ups in NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Hendrick Motorsports.

Budweiser on Kasey Kahne carSo they went with their next best option, which was Kasey Kahne at RPM. But I don’t know if it was me or what, but that was just a clash of images if I’ve ever seen one. To go from the party-man himself to Kahne was an image shock. I just never saw Kasey as the party with Budweiser and half-naked chicks in bikini type.

And with Shell/Pennzoil moving to Penske Racing in 2011 to Kurt Busch’s car, that left Kevin “Happy” Harvick looking for some colors for his car.

BAM!

Now Kevin Harvick, I can see all kinds of wonderful and funny Budweiser advertising campaigns with “Happy.” This should be a wonderful series of TV ads to actually look forward to, that could include not only himself, but all the trouble he’ll be getting into with Delana while filming TV ads with bikini clad girls!

BUDWEISER GIRLS, Joanna Krupa and friends

Yea, I can’t say enough about this match-up of sponsor and driver, except, crap, now I have to buy another diecast next year! (I’ve been buying Budweiser diecasts each time they switch drivers. Keeping up the fandom and all!)

OH!

PS: An official announcement will be coming forthwith within the week.
