Syfy has found it’s secret Monday, soon to be Fridays hit in Lost Girl.
News on the street is that Syfy is renewing Lost Girl, but then again, with all the “skin” they show, who cares, right? Last night’s episode, titled “Fae Gone Wild,” was based around some characters in an exotic dance club. (From what I hear!!!) The episode originally aired up North in November of 2011.
Lost Girl is a popular Canadian export that first aired in late 2010, and into 2011. The episode that aired last night originally aired up North in November of 2011.
The first run of the show on Syfy ran the first two seasons, but they made no real fanfare when they hit the season finale finale episode for season 1 and they ran it right into season 2, no break. You would not have known there was a season change!
But then again, with the amount of daring skin they show, I’m not surprised that the show, starring Anna Silk, is “the #1 cable drama among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 in its time period.”
They take daring ventures, use adult language, and every now and then, I swear, we almost get much more than TV allows for, as far as visuals.
Then again, what do you want from a Succubus that has to have sex to heal her injuries? (Guys are secretly hoping she keeps getting in over her head in fights.)
“Returning for season three are Kris Holden-Ried (Ben Hur, The Tudors, Underworld 4) as “Dyson”; Ksenia Solo (Life Unexpected; Black Swan) as “Kenzi”; Zoie Palmer (The Guard, Instant Star, XIII) as “Lauren”; Rick Howland (Billable Hours, Murdoch Mysteries) as “Trick” and K.C. Collins (Owning Mahowny, Doomstown) as “Hale.”
Joining the Lost Girl cast this season is Rachel Skarsten (The Vow; Flashpoint) in a recurring role as “Tamsin,” a thrill-seeking, sexy new Fae who ruffles many feathers. Emmanuelle Vaugier (Two and a Half Men, Covert Affairs) will reprise her role as “The Morrigan,” the leader of the Dark Fae.”
Season three will come at us in January of 2013.
