“Does anyone know how to start this thing?”
The reports are that Megan Fox is out of the 3rd installment of the Transformers franchise’s next movie, right now, known as Transformers 3.
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Megan Fox’s contract to appear in Transformers 3 has been dropped, or more accurately, not renewed. Initial reports say that the decision came from Michael Bay, as he feels it is now the right time for a new love interest for Shia LaBeouf’s character!
I mean, come on! Is this any sort of surprise? I’m thinking no. When ya insult your director, the director calls “cut!” Can you blame him? I don’t. Megan Fox called Michael Bay out in an interview prior to Jennifer’s Body where she said: “He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.” What brilliant thinking Ms. Fox! Now what?
The previous brilliant statement had an entire back and forth start up between Fox, the production crew saying she was a bear to work with, others stepping up saying she wasn’t and a few other pitches from Bay himself on his website.
Maybe it’s just me: You just don’t insult the people that have given you your job… it’s as simple as that. A friend of mine was working on a movie a “few” years back (His company was hired as the lighting department for a fish movie) ran into some issues because he was overheard mentioning what a stupid name the movie had. His company was replaced in mid-production. If you don’t support your team, your team isn’t going to support you. Plain and simple.
But Wait, It was Megan’s decision to leave Transformers 3!
After I read the above line, and when I stopped laughing so hard about it, I’m able to piece together that her “people,”… (who, her mom?), are reported to saying that it was her Fox’s decision to not return to the 3rd Transformers movie.
Again, it might just be me, but when you have a near guaranteed paying gig that will get you a ton of notoriety for more than the 15 minutes that some flash-in-the-pan, ill-acted movie might get you, you’re looking to quit? Folks… if any of you have a great paying day job that you don’t mind participating in, are you going to quit? I’m just making a point with some common sense questions.

Right now, early reports are saying the Gemma Arteton is in the running to replace Megan Fox in Transformers 3. But The Playlist is also adding to the list of folks that Michael Bay has met with: Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker. Now me, come on, who could resist possibly casting Marisa Miller in the role? Sorry, just biased! At least she’d know what she’s looking at when she pops the hood of a car! (Self confessed tom-boy!) Or heck even Serinda Swan, who played Zatanna in Smallville. I’d be good with her in Transformers 3. She’s in Tron: Legacy as Siren. Yea, maybe, even Olivia Wilde…

But right now, Olivia Wilde is taking a break from House M.D. to work on another project or two. She’s also in Tron: Legacy, and will be in the upcoming Cowboys and Aliens movie from Jon Favreau. (This is why # 13 is taking a break on House!)
I think I need to stop suggesting replacements for Megan Fox or I might be sleeping on the couch tonight!
Updated: As we may all be aware of now, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Megan in Transformers 3. (Guys, you really might want to check out Rosie in that article!)
